Israel’s Leaders are especially rebuked by God, they were suppose to know right from wrong, but were themselves THE VILEST SINNERS OF ALL.... {so it was then, SO IT IS NOW} Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him. Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

WHAT COMES OUT OF OUR MOUTHS IS AN INDICATOR OF WHAT IS IN OUR HEARTS!! A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. FOR OUT OF THE ABUNDANCE OF THE HEART HIS MOUTH SPEAKS.  Luke 6:45

THERE'S STRENGTH IN UNITY 1Corinthians 1:10-17

THERE’S STRENGTH IN UNITY 1Corinthians 1:10-17
During Paul’s second missionary journey he lived in Corinth. Paul when speaking addressed the readers as brothers, it was only natural for him do so because he knew them well. He had a strong message on unity to deliver to them. The Church of Corinth suffered from internal division (division within the body). Leaders in the church were competing for positions and control (such as they do now).

They questioned even Paul’s authority as an apostle. Paul was trying to direct the Corinthians to the only source of unity then and now.Only Christ and the power of His Cross can bring Christians together in harmony. Unity in the Church will not be demonstrated until Christ, not human personality or mans wisdom is central. Scripture states, “Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”

1 Corinthians 1:17 When sisters and brothers begin to love one another and work together as one body of believers (no big I’s and little u’s) the Church will become strong….THERE IS STRENGTH IN UNITY!

A True Friend

How do you determine a true friend?
Old cliché says one who’s there til the end
I say a true friend is one who God engraved in your heart
Where not even you know how they became a part.

Subconsciously we tend to choose our own friends
Then God may stamp his approval to declare friendship begin
God is a God who does not make mistakes
He can show us the ins and outs of what a true friendship takes.

When you can look in your heart, find a smile they left there
Search back in your mind to find an encouraging word they shared
This may be a sign you’ve found yourself a friend
For that void that was there has been filled from within.

That individual then fills a space in your heart
No matter what, they will always be a part
They don’t begin to judge nor guess at who you are
But grow with you and encourage you to reach for the stars.

Friends have your back; they stand by your side
In a true friend you can always confide
You can bring them your troubles and your many cares
A true friend is one who your secrets they‘ll never share.

They will hold you in the utmost respect
Whenever something’s wrong a true friend can detect
Sure, friends are not perfect; they’re not suppose to be
But I choose mine carefully for I’m giving them part of me.

True friends are treasures, gifts that don’t grow old
One who has a love that doesn’t wax cold
A beautiful treasure that is so very rare
Even out of one’s presence the friendship’s still there.

Dear God choose for me my friends; as my life is not my own
If you don’t approve, I’m not afraid to walk alone
For friend is a word that has a lot in there
Truly it’s a title many just can’t wear.
PRAY WITHOUT CEASING…..1Thessalonians 5:17
Our greatest weapon is prayer; God works through us when we pray. He makes His way clear to us when we submit ourselves humbly to Him in Prayer. Through us He accomplishes His purpose. Prayer has the power to effect, change and bless. Use your weapon today; submit to God and pray!!!!

TAMING THE TONGUE

Think about a compliment, praise, recognition you have received. Now think of the greatest insult someone hurled at you. One brought great joy, the other great pain; yet the tongue achieved both.
Our tongue has great potential for good as well as evil. People say things out of their mouths without even thinking about what they are doing to the individuals in ear reach. We must realize that we are responsible for the things we say. Just because we have a title, a license, a degree, doesn’t give us a free pass to kill the people of God.
I sat sometimes and I listen via television and radio to some of our well known leaders, then some of our not so well known (those striving to make a name for themselves) and some of the things I hear makes me wonder just who in the world are these people really trying to reach.
I’ve visited Churches where I’ve heard so called leaders stand on the pulpit and destroy God’s people with their tongue. The tongue is unruly and evil full of deadly poison which means it has the capability of destroying a sister or a brother; the words that we speak can win a soul or lose a soul. Words hurt and we wonder why nobody wants to hear what the body of Christ has to say. We have too many loose cannons operating in the body; too many men and women that have no discipline or self-control in how they speak, (especially in leadership).
James spoke about the tongue, he knew of its human frailty and our tendency to sin which makes it impossible to tame the tongue (James 3:8) yet the key to controlling the tongue is to keep watch over the source from which our words flow (James 3:11) A spring cannot pour both fresh and brackish water from the same opening, can it? What so ever is on the inside will come out. If we listen closely to what we say, we will find out just what our inner source is and that in turn will lead us to an understanding on how to tame our unruly powerful tongue.
I often wonder how many souls have been lost by just listening to the radio, watching television or just visiting one of our local Churches all just to hear what thus saith the Lord, instead the listener or visitor got hit with an unruly tongue.

Persistence Pays Off

Jesus told a parable that gives us an example of what type of prayer God approves of: PERSISTENT PRAYER. Persistent prayer is tenacious, constant, and even insistent.
When faced with difficulties or what seems to be a prayer not being answered; persistent prayer continues and even expands, it means we never give up.
Jesus encourages us to ask again and again in the face of seeming unresponsiveness. He contrasts God, who is caring and tender toward us, with an indifferent and calloused judge who has the power to mete out justice but doesn’t care enough to act. God unlike the lackadaisical judge will respond eagerly to our persistence.
Jesus ends His story with a hard question worth thinking about: Can faith be found anywhere on earth? Those who are persistent enough to hang on to the end will be few.
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that MEN OUGHT TO ALWAYS PRAY, and NOT TO FAINT; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

WE MUST BE BORN AGAIN

TO LIVE WE SIMPLY MUST BE BORN AGAIN…..  Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, NO ONE CAN SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD UNLESS HE IS BORN AGAIN."
"HOW CAN A MAN BE BORN AGAIN WHEN HE IS OLD?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘you must be born again.' John 3:1-7
GOD IS LIGHT, GOD IS LIFE; IN HIM THERE IS NO DARKNESS, IN HIM WE ARE ALIVE AND NOT DEAD at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the DARKNESS, OR AS DEAD MEN, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all in. 1John 1:5-7
The thief comes only to steal AND KILL (TO HAVE US DEAD BOTH SPIRITUALLY AND PHYSICALLY) and destroy JESUS CAME that we may have LIFE, and have it in abundance. John 10:10 (WE CAN’T CLAIM LIFE UNLESS WE HAVE RECEIVED JESUS CHRIST AS OUR PERSONAL SAVIOUR, THEN WE NO LONGER ARE WALKING DEAD MEN AND WOMEN!!!!
JESUS IS THE WAY, the truth and THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus. John 14:6
As for BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS, we can say that we were once dead in our transgressions and sins, in which we used to live when we followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also once lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US, GOD, who is rich in mercy, MADE US ALIVE WITH CHRIST even when we were dead in transgressions—IT IS BY GRACE WE ARE SAVE. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace we have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:1-10

God's Woman of Purpose (That's You)

God’s woman of purpose, picked from the rest she believes in herself for she’s God’s best
Not picked for her beauty, size or her style but was destined for greatness even as a child.
Before she was born, before she was conceived God called her His woman and promised she’d succeed
Instilled in her what she needed then sent her on her way God’s woman of purpose has made it to this day.
God’s woman of purpose, she walks in a way that when looked upon she brightens up your day
Different from all others she’s been set apart the way she tends to walk says God abides in her heart.
Because of who she is she sometimes walks alone putting her faith in God for her life is not her own
She focuses not on self her cares she lays aside, in the arms of God she comfortably abides.
A woman a purpose no matter how old, a jewel, a treasure, worth more than gold
She sparkles she shines has a unique glow, I’m a woman of purpose because God says so!!!

Scripture: Proverbs 23:7a, for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he;
Ps. 139:14, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

We are God’s children, special and unique, he loves us so much and in his word it tells us what he thinks about each of us. Jer: 29:11, I know the thoughts I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Declare today that you are who God said you are and let no one tell you any different:
