THERE'S STRENGTH IN UNITY 1Corinthians 1:10-17

THERE’S STRENGTH IN UNITY 1Corinthians 1:10-17
During Paul’s second missionary journey he lived in Corinth. Paul when speaking addressed the readers as brothers, it was only natural for him do so because he knew them well. He had a strong message on unity to deliver to them. The Church of Corinth suffered from internal division (division within the body). Leaders in the church were competing for positions and control (such as they do now).

They questioned even Paul’s authority as an apostle. Paul was trying to direct the Corinthians to the only source of unity then and now.Only Christ and the power of His Cross can bring Christians together in harmony. Unity in the Church will not be demonstrated until Christ, not human personality or mans wisdom is central. Scripture states, “Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”

1 Corinthians 1:17 When sisters and brothers begin to love one another and work together as one body of believers (no big I’s and little u’s) the Church will become strong….THERE IS STRENGTH IN UNITY!
